Coming from the ’81 class of PGDPM- XLRI, Jamshedpur, 58 year old Greg brings over 38 years of experience in HR and Change management areas. Of this, 14 years has been as a line HR Manager in companies like IPCL-Baroda, TVS Group and Eicher Group where he was involved in Organization Development (OD) and turn around management apart from regular HR work.
Of his 20 years plus of consulting experience, 4 years was with Eicher Consultancy Services- Bombay (ECS), where he had brought in tangible results to such leadership clients like Marico, L&T, Cadbury, Amul, Eicher, Ministry of Petroleum etc in providing management solutions and hands on implementation of TQM and OD interventions. He served as the Center for Excellence in Competence Mapping and designed the business model of Assessment /Development Center.
In 1997 he founded and provided leadership for SAGA Consulting in generating satisfaction to clients across a variety of industries in HR and change management.
He has been trained by A.T Kearney Inc - USA in Consulting Skills at Hong Kong. He was further coached by Kathy Danmeiller of Danmeiller – Tyson Associates Inc-USA in the Large Scale Interactive Process for bringing Real Time Strategic Change through people involvement. He also trained at NTL-Bethel, USA on Strategy Facilitation Skills during May 2000.Through this, he has enabled leading organization like Amul, MRF, Celebrity Fashions ,Apex laboratories to evolve and implement their strategies using HoshinKanri as a process. Edward De Bono has trained him on thinking skills, which gives him that extra edge in evolving new approaches and a fresh mind.
He designs interventions and actively facilitates in Outbound learning methodology at Kotagiri, Nilgiris in well developed locale in a camping area with outdoor activities and commando type training facilities.
He is a Certified Practitioner of MBTI and TEIQ and is actively involved in profiling, coaching and mentoring managers for growth and development.
He has traveled extensively around the globe to countries in Europe. He has also traveled to South East Asian countries In the United States of America he traveled extensively to learn of the cross culture and global benchmarks in management practices. His work took him to Western Africa –Nigeria and Ghana and East Africa-Kenya.
He held various positions in the National HRD Network – Chennai Chapter as well as in the Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science and has presented and published articles at national level seminars in HRD. He was invited by the Academy of HRD to present a paper on Competence Mapping at Bangkok in December 2003 at the Second Asian HRD Conference and was given a good rating by the organizers on his research paper.
He heads Saga Consulting as Director and Chief Consultant. He has designed and conducted Assessment/Development Centers at all levels of management in over 30 Organizations in India and abroad. He is also an accomplished trainer in over 18 management and behavioral topics including OBT.
