Founder Director Profile


Coming from the ’81 class of PGDPM- XLRI , Jamshedpur, 56 year old Greg brings over 33 years of experience in HR and Change management areas. Of this, 14 years has been as a line HR Manager in companies like IPCL-Baroda, TVS Group and Eicher Group where he was involved in Organization Development (OD) and turn around management apart from regular HR work.

Of his 19 years of consulting experience, 4 years was with Eicher Consultancy Services- Bombay (ECS), where he had brought in tangible results to such leadership clients like Marico, L&T, Cadbury, Amul in providing management solutions and hands on implementation of TQM and OD interventions. He served as the Center for Excellence in Competence Mapping and designed the business model of Assessment /Development Center.

In 1997 he founded and provided leadership for SAGA Consulting in growing the Business , Client base and Consultants Talent.

He has been trained by A.T Kearney Inc - USA in Consulting Skills at Hong Kong. He was coached by Kathy Danmeiller of Danmeiller – Tyson Associates Inc-USA in the Large Scale Interactive Process for bringing Real Time Strategic Change. He also trained at NTL-Bethel, USA on Strategy Facilitation Skills during May 2000.

Edward De Bono has trained him on thinking skills, which gives him that extra edge in bringing a fresh mind to the table. He is a Certified Practitioner of MBTI and TEIQ and is actively involved in profiling , coaching and counseling managers for development and growth.

He held various positions in the National HRD Network – Chennai Chapter and has presented and published articles at national level seminars in HRD. He was invited by the Academy of HRD to present a paper on Competence Mapping at Bangkok in December 2003 at the Second Asian HRD Conference . He heads Saga Consulting as Director and Chief Consultant.

Manohar Rajan

Manohar Rajan is an executive coach and senior management consultant with over 30 years of financial technology experience, of which more than 25 years was with Wall Street investment banks. He is an IIT & XLRI graduate who has lived and worked in New York for the first 25 years of his career.

Manohar helps corporate executives to be more effective in their current role or prepare for the next role. He also works with senior leaders & managers who are in career transition, want to increase their productivity or prepare themselves for a career change.

He is certified from the Coaching Foundation of India and in addition brings a toolbox of techniques that are customized for each situation.

Manohar has a diverse professional history, with a mixture of senior corporate leadership roles, as an entrepreneur, a management consultant and in people management. The locations are also diverse with the first 25 years the U.S. and Europe and the last 10 in South Asia.

He graduated from IIT Delhi in 1978 and obtained a post-graduate diploma from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 1981. Starting his career as a systems programmer in the early eighties and moving on to senior corporate executive roles, providing cutting edge technology solutions to some of the biggest Wall Street banks asSenior Vice President at Lehman brothers & Merrill Lynch, Director at Swiss Banking Corporation.

The next stop was starting a technology consulting firm specializing in data analytics and predictive modeling which went on for the next three years till he sold out the Enterprise.

The next 5 years until 2008, were as management consultant to Lehman Brothers in starting to set up their own technology subsidiaries India. He moved on as Senior Vice President at SCOPE International and Morgan Stanley, India. Here the primary focus shifted from performance management to people development , starting top down.

Manohar is active in the Pan IIT alumni community as a member of the IIT Alumni Industry Interaction Center where academia, industry, start-ups can come together and share ideas and work on understanding and using cutting edge technology in the industry.

Manohar is advisor to the St. Thomas Hospital Foundation, Chennai and works with them on projects to generate rural employment and form self-help groups.He is also advisor to the Eco-Agri foundation in the Philippines, and facilitates an information exchange program between the two organizations.


Lakshmi with over 25years experience in the HRM and HRD is a graduate in Commerce with PG Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relations.

Her last Corporate assignment has been as Head of Resource group and Consulting at Polaris Software Lab limited handling the entire gamut of HR activities across the country. Her responsibilities included man power planning, budgeting, performance counseling and performance management.

She has wide exposure across industries and has worked in companies like Maxworth Home Ltd, Development Consultants and IFMR. She has been exposed to cross cultural working conditions at Muscat where she has handled business accounting and analysis function.

She is an active member of professional associations like Transactional Analyses Study Circle-Madras, Hypnotic Circle etc.

She has done the Master Practitioner Course on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) under Dr Richard P Hugh. She has completed advanced training on Transactional Analysis conducted by Trasactional Analyses Association of India. She conducts training with various companies and educational institutions in Behavioral Science areas and is a Health Counselor.

She has been involved in conducting assessment / development centers for companies like 24/7 Customer, Pidilite Industries Ltd , EID Parry amongst others , while serving at Saga Consulting

Valentina B

Has completed B SC –Botany and went on to pursue and complete MBA in the year 2000 from Ethiraj College for Women – Chennai. As a part of her Professional fulfillment , she completed the PGD in T& D by ISTD, New Delhi .

After MBA, she joined Fuller India Ltd as Management Trainee and worked for 3 years managing talent acquisition , on boarding , performance appraisal and training & development activities .

She there after joined TCL in their Middle management, handling sales and marketing recruitment , performance incentives and sales force management.

In these 4 years , she worked with R& D specialists and catered to their unique HR needs .

She joined Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals for managing HR at the Plant level working through employee grievances and implementing HR policies as well as visiting campus for recruitment.

After 1 ½ years, she joined FLSmidth in the Corporate Office handling HR operations initiating employee engagement processes , evolving HR policies , implementing ERP solutions .She then moved in to a new role of Performance Appraisal , training need analyzes and Key Talent management for succession planning completing 3 ½ years.

She joined ReGen Power Tech , as a Section Head handling Corporate and Site employees numbering around 700 . She stream lined several Policies in line with business requirements and employee aspirations. She went on to develop SOPs for a variety of HR processes and ensured their adherence. She developed the Appraisal System as an on-line to make it user friendly and swifter in application.

She joined Saga Consulting as Consultant –HR in the year 2014 and is involved in Development Centers as Assessor. She works with the Team on several projects leading to Internal Capability building of the Client’s HRD Department.

She speaks English, Tamil and Hindi fluently.

Varalakshmi A.

Comes with a Degree of BE –Electronics ’96 and MBA’2000 from Bharathidasan Institute of Management ( BIM).She went on to complete LL.B in 2012 from S V College of Law , Tirupati.

She worked as Customer Service Executive for around 3 years in Companies like RPG Paging , Delta Innovative Enterprises .

She joined Saga Consulting as Research Associate handling recruitment , learning & development and back office coordination in the year 2000. During this period , she acquired client relationship management skills and report writing and Documentation of findings.

After a brief sabbatical , she re –joined Saga Consulting as Associate –HR in April, 2013.

She is involved in the Development Centers up to Middle management cadres assessing employees against specific measurable competencies and their criteria.

She markets Public Programs through designing of brochures , inviting nominations and managing the participant interface thereafter.

She is involved in generating reports , presentation and review documents to enable the Senior Consultants in their Client interactions.

She is currently involved in developing internal assessors in the Client organization and in certifying their capabilities. She is fluent in English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and has also completed Diploma in Computer Application from LIBA.

Jayanthi G.

Completed Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from Madras University in the year 1996. She went on to complete Master’s Degree in Computer Application from Bharathidasan University in 2005. She’s an Accredited Trainer in IELTS of British Council and is a Language Trainer in English.

She managed Play Schoolstart ups ofpre Kindergarten children including Admissions , curriculum development and engagement for 3 years.

She worked as a Content Developer for GDS Systems Pvt Ltd –Bangalore for about a year.

She joined Saga Consulting in the year 2013 as Associate –HR involved primarily in the assessments of Middle and Junior level employees of the Client organizations.

Jayanti works on short gestation projects at Saga Consulting in generating insightful reports and outcomes from studies . She engages with the Clients on sourcing data and information on several aspects of HR processes and systems .

She speaks English, Tamil , Hindi and partially Japanese.

Irene Joseph

Irene is an MBA (HR) and Chartered Accountant (Inter) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She also possesses a Master of Commerce qualification from Bombay University.

She comes with a rich experience of about 25 years in various fields such as training and assessing for talent, financial accounting, analysis and auditing. She started her career in Toronto-Canada where she was exposed to cross-cultural corporate exposures in handling financial and business analysis in Altamira Investments, Toronto, Canada. Thereafter she worked at Ault Foods Inc. at Toronto, Canada handling dealer accounts across the country.

On return to India, she used her natural flair for people by joining Saga Consulting as Consultant and Chief Financial Officer. Apart from finalizing the books of accounts and advising the management on profits maximization and investments, she is engaged in Competence Mapping, Consulting and Training.

She has been involved extensively in the Assessment/Development Centers at companies like Allsec Technologies, PSA Sical Ltd, PepsiCo, Associated Lighting Company, EID Parry Sugars, Seedworks Inc, Pidilite Industries Limited, Vasudhara dairy, etc., in identifying talent and developing core skills. At these assignments she has assessed over 700 people in over 50 Assessment Centers and has coached them for improvements apart from conducting in-house training.

Her previous stint in Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Behavioral Trainer, where she imparted induction training to over 3000 associates, helped her hone her training and coaching skills.

She is again associated with Saga now and she leads a practice in Compensation Management providing insights on Salary levels and perks to various corporate. She currently works as Principal Consultant at Saga Consulting

Our Executive Coach

Gopi Nambiar

Retired as EVP – HR & Administration of Pernod Ricard India.

A management graduate in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur, he has been employed in Indian and Multinational organizations – EID Parry, Eicher India, PepsiCo and Bacardi prior to joining Pernod Ricard India in 1999 as Head of Human resources and Administration and currently a consultant to this organisation. He was a Director on board of Pernod Ricard India (earlier Seagram), today a Rs 10,000 crore company, for more than ten years.

He is a subject matter expert in Talent Management and HR including statutory compliance and employee relations. He also has professional certification as an Executive Coach and has successfully completed several assignments in Executive Coaching.
